Some weblogs let you add comments. This one doesn't. Why not?
In a nutshell, I like to keep control of what goes on my web site. That might sound like control-freakery, but I think it's valid for a personal site. As Lars Wirzenius put it:
Some of us don't want our personal web pages and soap boxes to become public discussion forums. It's not a question of not being able to, it's a question of not wanting to. [...]If you want to comment on a web log entry of mine, feel free to send mail. If I think it warrants it, I'll add it, possibly modified, to the web log. (Think of this as a pre-moderated discussion forum with extremely strict approval criteria.)
